We also work with local schools to promote disability awareness in the local community . Using a school’s hall or sports hall we spend a full day teaching, playing, raising awareness of wheelchair basketball and showing that anyone can still play and benefit from sport. We even provide all of the equipment, including the basketball wheelchairs.
We also tailor each session to the age and abilities of each child and/or class and each one is coached by experienced Bulldog players and staff, each of whom is fully DBS (CRB) checked.
We have ran a number of these events over the past year and the response has been fantastic; “Fantastic day spent with the children who were talking about this for weeks after” and “The children had a fabulos day i can’t thank the bulldogs enough for giving the children and insight into disabled sport”.
