Our Team

Lancaster Bulldogs WBC is a passionate, inclusive wheelchair basketball team made up of dedicated players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters who all share a love for the game. We are proud to bring together people of different ages, backgrounds, and experience levels.

Our team is about more than competition. We work hard in training, support each other on and off the court, and celebrate the progress of every player. Whether someone is completely new to wheelchair basketball or has years of experience, they are part of an environment where they can develop skills, build confidence, and enjoy being part of something positive.

MEET THE TEAM

#4 Josh ASPIN

Josh joined the team in 2025 after moving to the area for University. Josh is a 1.5 classification and played for a number of years near his home town and has brought his speed and experience from his previous team to his role within the Bulldogs set up.

#5 CAT YEARRON

Cat is the Chairperson of the club, Head Coach for the Senior squad, Development Team and Women’s Team. Cat is a 1.5 classification and has been with the club for over 10 years. Cat plays a key role for the club and the teams as a whole. Cat also played Women’s Premier League for 5 years with Worcester Wolves and brings that experience to coaching for the Bulldogs.

#7 JOHN ANTHONY FERGUS

John is Assistant Coach for the Senior squad, and has been with the club on and off for over 20 years. John is a 3.0 classification, and has been playing basketball since the age of 13. John has played for a number of different teams over his years in the sport, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his assistant coaching role, as well as bringing skill and guidance to the court as player.

#8 JACK NEATIS

Jack joined the Bulldogs in 2024 having never played before. Jack is a 4.0 classification, and brings height and speed to the team, as well as pure determination to every game. Jack has developed quickly in the sport and has become a great player for the Bulldogs, and continues to grow his skills, knowledge and experience through hard work in training and in games.

#16 BLAKE CREELY

Blake is the youngest player on the senior squad having reached the eligible age to play National League for the 25/26 season. Blake has been training with the Bulldogs since the age of 6. Blake is a 1.0 classification and his ability to learn and his determination on the floor have enabled him to hit the ground running when he stepped up to the senior squad. Blake is on the England Pathway Program and competed in the Home Nations for England North in August 2026 and also plays a key role in the UKWB Development league for Bulldogs, using his experience to support newer players.

#19 TOBY GUIVER-WELLS

Toby joined the bulldogs in 2022 and has been playing basketball for over 10 years. Toby is a 3.5 classification who brings incredible speed and agility to the floor, driving into the key without fear to claim those baskets. Toby constantly strives to improve on every aspect of his game and works hard in training and in games to continue to build on his excellent skills and knowledge.

#23 GRAEME LAMBERT

Graeme joined the Bulldogs in 2024 and has been playing Wheelchair Basketball for 20 years. Graeme is a 5.0 classification and uses his height and physical ability well to disrupt the opposition and to get into position for his preferred shots. Graeme has a wealth of experience within the sport and uses his tactical knowledge to support the team and coach on game days. Graeme also brings calmness and composure to the high pressure nature of the games which is a positive attribute in this sport.

#25 PAUL CARMICHAEL

Paul joined the Bulldogs in 2023 having never played wheelchair basketball before. Paul is a 3.5 classification player who has picked up the art of wheelchair basketball incredibly well in just over 3 years in the sport. Paul has built up excellent speed, agility and a very consistent shot during such a short time, and continues to show determination to improve at every training session and every game.

#31 MEGAN MCEVOY

Megan joined the Bulldogs in 2025 and has been playing basketball for 3 years. Megan is a 3.0 classification player, and is also a qualified referee. Megan’s tactical and technical knowledge is vast which allows her to see the game well and make excellent decisions on the floor. Megan works tirelessly to improve and has made exceptional progress in the short time she has been playing the sport.

#32 NEIL HOWSON

Neil has been playing for the Bulldogs for a number of years. Neil is a 3.5 classification and is quite possibly the biggest player in the league at 6ft 8” tall. Neil’s presence on court is immense, and his determination, speed, height and strength make him a key player for the Bulldogs. Neil brings solid defence with strong chair skills, not to mention his MASSIVE wingspan! Neil’s speed and ability to work well with others to create opportunities, also make him a huge threat on offence.

#50 SHAUN GASH

Shaun is one of the founding members of Lancaster Bulldogs, having set the club up with a few others in 1996 - which means that Shaun has been playing basketball for over 30 years! Shaun is a 1.0 classification player, and brings incredible strength, speed and shooting range to the floor, along with plenty of experience, positivity and motivation for the rest of the team. Shaun is also a qualified referee which enables him to guide the team on some of the more intricate rules of the game.
